Legacy Hand Held Life Cycle and Support

This page is to better inform and distribute information to our customers about the Legacy FSI Hand Held Procedure

Since 1987 Forestry Systems has produced software/hardware solutions for the Hardwood Lumber Industry.

As with any hand held computer, as technology changes and evolves, hand held computers eventually become less efficient and finally obsolete.

Over the years we have worked closely with each and every account about upgrading and support issues regarding Legacy Systems still in use by our customers.

Customers who maintain their unit under our maintenance coverage will receive FULL CREDIT on their maintenance investment for that year. This usually provides a reduction in costs of new purchases with upgraded equipment.

Our customers are our life blood and we understand this very clearly! Telxon 510 - 610 - 710 Support Discontinued
The Telxon products 510 - 610 and 710 hand held units have now been purchased by (2) subsequent corporations (Symbol then Motorola) and as such FSI is discontinuing support with legacy products that are so very old and with the manufacturer being bought out several times over. We strive to continue providing the BEST and most technologically advanced hand helds possible for our customers, such as the FSI Jett hand held currently being sold. Our goal is to inform our customers of legacy product support discontinuations and at the same time continue to provide better, faster and more flexible hand held solutions to benefit your company for years to come.
